They're for the cards from digital cameras!. For example, CF is Compact Flash!.

There are a bunch of different formats, so it's a multi-card reader that'll read from a bunch of them!. If you put a card from your camera in the correct spot (you may have to try it upside down), it'll show up as a hard drive / removable disk in your list of drives!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
