Question: I need to make a photography portfolio with the colour based on 'descent'!. please help me understand descent

Ok, If I'm not mistaken, and it's very possible that I could be, I would take that to mean descent as in color wave length/frequency!.!.!.ie like the rainbow!.!.!.

A rainbow has 7 colors!.!.!.always in the same order

Red, being at the center of the arch, has the longest wave length
Orange, above red
Yellow
Green
Blue
Indigo
Violet, with the shortest wave length, tops the arch

Colors with the longest wave lengths vibrate at the lowest frequencies therefore produce the least amount of energy!. So Red would be the last "visible" color in the descent!.

Violet has the shortest wave length, therefore vibrates at a higher frequency and produces the greatest amount of energy and would be at the the first color from which to start your descent!.
