Yes, anyone can be a model because advertising agencies are looking for everything from the breathtaking to the ordinary to the ugly!. It really depends on what they're looking for!. When they're trying to sell corn flakes, they don't want Heidi Klum, they want an "everyone" kinda look!. Look around for agencies in your area and go see them or send them good headshots and full body shots both standing and sitting!. Be smiling in the shots (with teeth showing)!. Don't worry about your clothes in the pictures except wear something with solid, basic colors to not distract from the subject of the picture: you!. Nothing too baggy or too tight!. Jeans and a simple shirt (with a collar if you have a long neck, no collar if you don't)!. If/when an agency signs you, don't worry about getting gigs right away, but if nothing happens for a while, you might want to consider moving to another agency!. Look at magazines like Vogue and other top fashion magazines - they are looking for striking girls who make you look twice at them!.
