I will just answer from my own experiences with white in studio portrait situations!.

White in and of itself is not really a problem, it is that it can create exposure problems!. For instance, a dark skinned person wearing white creates two extremes of contrast!. To expose properly for the skin tone tends to make the white "blow out", or be much too bright!. To expose for the white clothing will make the skin tone too dark!. So about all you can do is compromise or do a lot of playing around with levels in the computer afterward, which I prefer not to have to do!.

On a very light skinned person, exposure is not a delicate issue, but there is then not ENOUGH contrast in the photo and the person can just look sort of lost in the photo!.

So in general, neutral colors such as a light blue or grey or medium beige can look better!.

You also need to take into account your hair color and skin tone as to what color looks best on you!.

Do you look good in red!? Some people do, some don't!. Take a real objective look in the mirror!. Look at yourself OVERALL!.!.!. not just at the clothes!. Get opinions of others!.

The jeans are no problem!.

Hope that helps some!.

It's not what you wear that's going to give you a problem!. It's Picture People that's going to be the problem!. During Mother's Day, in the Sunday paper, one can tell Picture People photography compare to professionally done photography and one can see the difference in quality!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Sure !.!.!. it is up to the photographer to light you so you look great!.

Take your shoes off and jump for a couple of shots!. It will add some energy to your book!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
