I personally thought of doing the same thing but chose against it because of the money!. I have the nikon d60 and got a book that specifically pertains to this camera from amazon!. It is by David Busch and is $19!.79!. Its a really good book!. Busch writes books about alot of the cameras so your camera may have a book about it!. I also chose not to pay that much money because i like the trial and error and learning from my mistakes!. By learning on my own and reading a this book, i have really gotten to know my camera!. I won first place in 5 different catagories at the county fair and am automatically qualified for the state fair!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I don't know about the digital course, and I have never taken a film course, the but book that they gave out at the film course has the answers to all but the most ridiculous questions that appear in Yahoo answers photography!. It does not even tell you, however, how to answer the question "am I pretty!?"!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The best teacher is experience!. Shoot everything and anything!. Then go home and honestly examine each image and figure out what worked and what didn't!. Figure out what you can do to make each image better and use what you learned for the next shoot!.
