Question: Is there something that can help draw a straight line besides a ruler!?
I am disabled and can only use one of my hands, and actually have carpel tunnel in it, so my lines looks pretty rough!. I was wondering if there is some kind of device I can buy to help me draw a straight line, besides a ruler!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

T-squares are designed specifically to draw straight lines and can be used with one hand as long as you have a table edgeWww@QuestionHome@Com

Seriously, any straight edge will do!. If you can only use one hand, I'd suggest getting a heavy book, placing it where you want the line (like you would a ruler) and then draw along the edge of the book!.

There's also a drawing utensil you could get that's like a ruler but it attaches to a table!. I forget the name but it's much longer than a standard ruler and it in the shape of a T!. You could find it from any high-end arts store to a place like Office Depot!.

Hope this helps!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I've used the side of a stapler in a pinch when I didn't have a ruler, it was straight and had enough weight to it that it didn't shift!.

But for your problem, a T-Square may be best, if you can anchor it with one arm so it won't move!. If you have a metal yardstick (the kind the building contractors use on site) that's heavy too, but I don't know if the edge on that would be smooth enough to allow a pen to do a decent line!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Try a parallel bar, if you have a table you can attach it to!. You would string wire through four pieces that would be attached to the table via screws and the bar slides up and down the wires!. It can be made to go diagonally, but you would need a t square or a triangle for vertical lines!. The bar can also be locked in place by tightening a knob on the bar!.
