Question: Which will take a better quality picture!?

I am trying to work out what to take to hospital for best pics of my new baby!.

I have a sony ericsson k850i phone with 5 mega pixel camera or an olympus mju 4 mega pixel camera!.

Is it all about the pixels!?

The Olympus will take a far superior picture!. It has a better lens, larger sensor and is a camera not a phone making pretend its a camera!.

When it comes to megapixels they are not that important!. In order of importance these are what makes a camera good!.

Optics: The quality of the lens is the most important thing!.

Analog to digital converter: The better the camera the better this will be!.

Sensor size: The larger the sensor the better the quality!. Point and shoot cameras have very small sensors in comparison to SLR cameras!. Camera phone sensors are even smaller!.

Mega pixels: More pixels is only good to a point!. When camera companies increase the amount of pixels they don't increase the size of the sensor!. They just cram more pixels on the same sensor!. To many pixels on a small sensor will increase the amount of noise visible in your photos!.

Bottom line is even a cheap point and shoot camera will give you better images than the best camera phone!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It all depends on the amount of
mega pixels you've got the
higher up the better the camera
is although that is not always the
Case sometimes the lens has

It is NOT all about pixel count!. It is more about sensor size !.!.!. your Olympus has a huge sensor when compared to your cell phone

You will be wanting to look at ability to zoom in, set different light levels, use flash - I don;t know either of your devices - but why not hedge your bets & take both with you!?Www@QuestionHome@Com
