Question: Yahoo has always been honest & upfront about "your pictures are our pictures"; ur feelings on the Getty thing!?

This is a scary situation really!. Actually this has always been a problem with Flickr, but making Getty have access to your images is just making it easier for things like this to happen!.

Just in case that link doesnt work heres the story:
Flickr member A posts a pic to Flickr!.
member B takes that pic, and passes it off as their own!.
Getty comes along and says 'hey, you want some money for that' to member B since it is the most recent version!.
member A is left with nothing!.

This can already be done, it just makes it easier!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm still sorting this out!. I understand that they will NOT use your images for Getty unless you agree to it!.

The whole on-line sharing thing has got to be re-evaluated!.

Many people do know what you mean by the Getty thing, by the way, but you might "add details" if you can link an article that explains it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

As long as I still own the rights to my own images, and I must verify that it's okay for Getty to use my pictures, I'm good!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

After receiving a few requests for my images and refusing, I have found the privacy area to make it stop!. I have no desire to give my work away for free so that companies may profit!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
