Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Liquin is a miracle!. Give the painting a month if it is painted "thin" and 3 months if you globbed the paint on and varnish the thing!. Nothing lasts forever and if it is good enough they will figure out a way to restore it and preserve it in 2158!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Liquin speeds up the drying time!. That's why it was created!. There are a number of ways to safely speed up the drying time of oil paint!. Do a search, type in key words like 'oil drying time' or 'speeding up drying time' and you'll get many results!. When I was painting in oils I used to speed up drying the paint by resting the canvas against a chair in front of (but not too close to) a wall finance!. Of course, this wouldn't work in warmer weather when i wouldn't have the finance on!. In hotter weather I would store the canvas in the hottest place in knew of, like on a shelf in a closet that the A/C didn't reach and cool!. Or sometimes on a shelf out in my garage where it stayed hot enough to dry the paint more quickly!. Lindseed oil takes forever to dry and has the tendency to add a yellow toned glaze to the surface!. I use Liquin all the time as I don't have the patience to wait till something dries!. Be aware of the need to ventilate your work area when using turpentine or Liquin as they both give off fumes!. My whole class would get a bad case of the giggles & headaches every Wednsday after a full of day (8 hrs)of turpentine and liquin!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Liquin is indeed a miracle!.
