Question: Help!! How do i get this off the picture!?!!?
My friend sent me a picture that she believes was taken in the 70's of her now deceased mother, now deceased grandmother and her father!. There are little pieces of white paper stuck all over the picture making it all messed up!. Is there a way to take the paper off without ruining the photo!? I do not know what the paper is stuck on with, im thinking it was pressed against some paper for a while and it stuck and when it was pealed apart some paper stuck!. She wants me to fix up the pic on the comp, but i cant do that i dont think until i get the paper off!. I would be very grateful for any help with this because its one of the only pictures she has of them and she would be very grateful too!. Thanks!Www@QuestionHome@Com

The best and safest way to restore the image would be to have it restored by a professional!. If you don't know what you're doing, you'll likely ruin the image and/or achieve a result she won't be happy with!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
i would take the photo to a store that does photo restoration!. they can really work wonders on old photos!. good luck!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
I wish i could give you a remedy for this problem but I'm afraid I can't, in fact I'm not sure anyone can repair a 30 year old photo with bits of paper stuck to the emulsion side!. I conducted an extensive search online but came up with nothing!.
there may be hope though!. If there isn't a lot of paper stuck to the faces!. If that is the case, then the rest of the photo can be recreated!.
the only other suggestion might be take a needle and try to dislodge a small piece of the obstruction (down in a corner) just to see if it will peel without peeling the emulsion!.
