There are several ways to do this!. One is to prevent finger prints in the first place by wearing 'finger cots' over your fingers!. These can be purchased at any drug store or medical supply company!.
Secondly, use rubbing alcohol to gently remove the fingerprints before baking!.
Thirdly, use a clay softener or mineral oil to remove prior to baking!. Just remember that this will 'soften' the clay temporarily so you may want to wait awhile before baking!.
Another approach is to wet sand the fingerprints off 'after' baking with 400 or 600 grit wet sandpaper!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Tiffany,
It takes practice!. Polymer clays are very different from earthen clays!. You have to work the clay in your hands, over and over!. Then, when you have the look you want, stop working it, and allow it to cool off!. Keep playing it and you'll get it just the way you want it!. Have fun with it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
