Question: I need a Artist stand with everything in it!.!?
I'm wanting to by an easel, palette, paper, & brush set in one package!. I don't really want to go threw all of the trouble of going to a different site for each individual thing!. Plus I only have $60 to work with!. If some one could either give me a site to find a package like this or give me some advice, I would greatly appreciate it!. I'm not a professional, its more of a hobby thing for me!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Boxed set are rarely a good value, and almost never contain artist-quality materials!. What this means is no matter how much work you put into a painting you do with them, they will always look less professional!. That said, if all you want is the easel and palette and a couple brushes, that might be fine!. !. !. but when it comes to colors and mediums, you will want to buy the best you can afford!. An artist can get started with as few as 8-12 pigments if you choose wisely!. Never skimp on paper !. !. !. cheap paper will yellow and may not hold up over time!.

Just google artist supplies and you will have at least a half-dozen suppliers to choose from!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Look on eBay, they have tons of cheap French Easel set-ups for under 50$!. Just do a search under "French Easel" and you'll find them!.

They're pretty poor quality, but you can use them indoors or out (plein air)!. They have a drawer that holds your paint and a palette!. They come in full and half depending on how much room you have!. Another O!.K!. source of cheap painting supplies is dickblick!.com, though eBay is almost always cheaper if you can find what your looking for there!. Another bit of advice, don't skimp on your solvents - don't buy the stuff you see at the hardware store!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Um, try Wal Mart!. You won't get good quality though!. Art supplies are usually more expensive!. I paid about 200 dollars for my easel, which is pine, and totally adjustable ,and has a sliding drawer, and can fold up into a box!. I got it from Opus Framing and Art Supplies!.

Edit- by the way, I don't order from Dick Blick because they look cheap, but their shipping charges are a big rip off!. The suggestion above to try Ebay sounds like a good way to go!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
