It's originally Chinese pottery!. Celadon pottery is named for the glaze, a beautiful jade green that varies in shade just like true jade stone does!. It was a technique of applying glaze that was seen during the Tang dynasty, but achieved its peak during the Sung dynasty, 12th century China!.
In the 9th century, the technique of applying the glaze was introduced to Korea, and they developed new techniques for it!. Finally, in the 1600's, Korean potters were kidnapped by the Japanese and celadon came to Japan!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
