You need to be a little more specific in the type of Camera you are looking for!. Do you want a point and shoot camera!? These cameras are the most common cameras used by people who do not have any professional experience!. They do most of the work for you, hence the name point and shoot!. Or if you want more of a professional camera you can get a DSLR!. These cameras have many many tricks to them and take wonderful photos depending on your lens type!.

I know I did not answer your question directly, but these are just some things to think about!. I would, however, reccomend purchasing a Cannon Camera!. Look into the Xti or Xsi!.

You didn't mention a budget!. So I will make the obvious suggestions: Nikon D3 or Canon EOS-1 Mark III ds!.

For a more down to earth prices I would suggest a Canon EOS 5D, Mark I ds or the Nikon D300!.

Many photographers would consider the TX1 a toy!. The sensor is not much bigger than the nail on your index finger!. Although capable of taking good pictures, I find the clipped tonality and "artifacting" of small sensors very annoying!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

for point and shoot the Sony W300 is quite powerful, for mid-range, nothing beats Canon PowerShot S3/S5 for functionality!. while for serious photographers, get a digital SLR such as the Canon 450D or Nikon D40!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
