My normal shooting attire is black dress pants, a dark blouse, and a black vest that has big patch pockets, big enough to carry a few rolls of film or memory cards and a prime lens (usually my 50mm)!. I have worn a long skirt, but prefer pants while working!. also comfortable, quiet shoes!. I have found that I really like crocs, black ones worn with black socks are not that noticeable!. I don't shoot super formal affairs, but I think my outfit would be appropriate for all but the most lavish weddings!. Sometimes you can be more informal than others!. It would be silly to dress to the nines when shooting a cowboy wedding where the guests as well as the wedding party are in jeans and sitting on haybales!Www@QuestionHome@Com

All good answers!. Used to be it was always said to dress as a guest, but that does not apply now a days!. I have seen guests at weddings that were dressed in the most inappropriate clothes!.!.!. something that might be better for a picnic or rock concert!.

So as the others said, just dress nice, but not too overboard!. You want to look professional!. but also be able to do your job with some degree of comfort!.

As a former professional photographer, you should always be understated at any affair, remember this is a job, not a social function for you!. So, be professional and wear a dark pants suit or dress!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I usually have suit when I shoot weddings, but I'm a guy!. Best thing would be go comfortable but smart afterall you have carry the equipment around so it best to feel comfortable whilst doing it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I recommend a dark pant suit!. You need to blend into the background, be able to bend without loss of dignity and I also suggest shoes that allow you to move quietly!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Personally I would wear a dress, or whatever you would wear if you were a guest!. *That is- if you can work in a dress*Www@QuestionHome@Com
