Open both files at the same time!. Click on the area that you want to clone into the other picture and then create a new layer (the layer will go on the picture that you will be cloning the background into)!. Start cloning onto the new layer; as long as you keep both files open, it should work!. Erase or move it as you please and then flatten the image!. Always remember to "save as!."

I hope I didn't make this too confusing!. This works fine in Photoshop CS, so hopefully it will work for you!. If you have any other questions, you can send me a message!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

First responder is correct but it may be quicker to use the lasso selection tool and surround the beach that you want to clone into the new photo!. Right click on the selection and pick, "new layer via copy"!. Now using the move tool in your tool box, click and drag that selection into your new photo!. This swill automatically appear as a new layer on your new photo!. You can edit free transform it!. You can lower the opacity so you can see the layer below, then erase away the top layer where you want to!. Then raise your opacity again!. Hope this helps!.
