Question: Did the Germans ever produce a 6x7cm medium format camera!?

The German Plaubel corporation was bought by a Kisoi Doi, a Japanese businessman, in the late 1970s!. With a long history of medium format cameras, Plaubel introduced the Plaubel Makina 67 in 1979!. The design was German but they were actually made in Japan, perhaps by Mamiya!. They were made for less than ten years, but a 670 version taking 220 film, a tilt-and-shift 6x9 version, and a wide-angle W67 version were also released!.
Hasselblad of course is Swedish, not German!.
The only German made 6x7 cameras that I know of were the Linhof 220 and the Linhof Technika Wide Angle 65!.
6x7 is a relatively new format which was developed in the 1960s-70s!. Most earlier folding cameras used a red window for frame alignment and counting!. 120 film does not have numbers on the backing paper for the 6x7 format so that's why you're unlikely to find 6x7 cameras before 1960!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
