Question: What is the most annoying thing about being an artist!?

The most annoying thing for me is getting art supplies, its not cheap and its hard to find stores that sell the exact types you want and getting them at reasonable prices!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Showing someone something you did and get the derisive, "Wow, you must have a lot of time on your hands!."

Yes, I do!. I get up, go to work, work my 8 1/2 hour day like everyone else and come home!.

Someone gives you a drawing project, not paid and you do it and they don't like it!.

When people want free art but balk at paying at least for your time and supplies!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's quite hard to have everything the way you imagined it to be!. I spend way too long fixing it even though I am a very patient person when it comes to art!. I am an art student and I am very good one and I am assuming you are an artist, so my art teacher supplies us with what we need!. I agree that prices of supplies are getting way too high with what's going on in the world today!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I've always been annoyed by the stereotyping of artists!. That they're all flighty and weird!. Or that they're all starving because there's no money in art!. Or that art isn't a real career!. Or that you can't be intelligent as well as creative!. Wrong, wrong, wrong!Www@QuestionHome@Com

i agree with you, art supplies are hard to get mostly because they know we need them!! another thing is that people see your work then imagine that you can draw anything, no one is ever satisfied but it drives you to work harder!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

well i think the hardest thing about being an artist is taking the time to draw something or paint!.!.!.it takes alot of pactience and sometimes you wont get it right the first timeWww@QuestionHome@Com
