Question: Does anyone have advice on how to prevent my lens from fogging up!?
I took my camera out today and took a few pictures of a beetle on the ground!. It had rained about an hour ago and the air was humid!. When I placed my camera near the bug, the end of my lens fogged up instantly!. Is there any way to prevent this!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

You're taking the camera from a cooler environment to a warmer one, the moisture is condensing on the cold glass, warm the camera inside a little by placing it in a warmer room/in sunlight before going outside (don't let it get too hot - don't let the viewfinder or the lens recieve direct sunlight - they can scorch the inside of the camera like a magnifying glass)
In winter the reverse is true, it's colder outside than in so when coming indoors it's a good idea to let the camera warm up before use!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
It happens to me all the time around here!.
Generally, I find that if I wait about 30 seconds, and then wipe the lens off with a microfiber cloth, the condensation won't return!. Alternatively, I stick a cheap filter on before I go outside, and then wipe the filter on my shirt(without removing it from the lens)!.
The alternative is to seal your camera in a zip lock bag until it is at thermal equilibrium with the air!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
ofcourse you know not to be putting any stuff on your lenses!.!.!.some things work great for cars and mirrors and windshields, but on canon glass it is a no no
dawg and the other are right about letting the camera acclimate!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
Just let the camera acclimatise, it will clear itself!.
