Hi, good question!.!.!.

Now if this was me shooting the band in an inside venue then with that lens I would try to bring a monopod or a tripod!. On the other hand, it might be easier without!. :)

But I would make sure that you have maybe an extra digital card/s so that you can take a LOT of images!. Plus maybe spare set of batteries!. (Rechargeables)!.

Often shooting indoors like with a band you might need to move around quite a bit and take a good deal of photos!. You may find many of the shots end up blurry!. You might even want to shoot with the camera on manual and not automatic!. This lets you dictate the sharpness, not the camera!.

But you should be able to sit way back with the 70-300 lens and still get in close picture wise!. I would say to you keep moving around the venue and not to shoot directly into bright lights if possible!. Maybe have a look at other band shots and pick up some ideas that way!.

Sounds like fun!. Enjoy yourself!. :)

First off, think about what message your songs give!. Then, when you have created the pose you want, use a digital camera and take the picture!. I suggest you get photo-shop software and you can digitally make some of the band not in focus, plus you can tweak out your picture anyway you want!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You just need to focus on the one member you want in focus, and the others should come out blured a bit!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
