Question: I need some tips on drawing and shading!?
So I really like to draw portraits of people and I usually draw it from a photo, I just draw what I see!. I’m pretty good but the pictures look very basic like it would in a comic book!. I discovered that the more you draw the more you learn and I really have learned a lot, but my shading is not good!. How do I go from basic to making it look realistic!? I always mess up the shading and then the picture looks wrong and messed up!. Any tips on shading when drawing portraits!? Any other tips!? ThanksWww@QuestionHome@Com

If you're using charcoal in your portraits, how I like to think of it is that once you put down the general lines of the face/nose/eyes/etc!. you need to put in the shadows so that there are no longer any lines, only lights and darks!. As for any further advise, I'm not sure exactly what you're looking for!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
