I have an appreciation of all forms of art!. My influences are Impressionism, Expressionism, Surrealism and Art Deco!. So my personal style I refer to as "Neo-Surreal Expressionism"!. The problem is that I think I must die before the concept will be excepted!. I start with the impression of the composition, then react emotionally with color and marks!. Then try to tie it together with design, which leads to surreal nuances!. The end result is a colorful grouping of marks and icons that form the design!. That's my concept of what I do!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I like realism and monet-types!. I find abstracts too distracting and chaotic!. I want my art to sooth me, or show me somethng old in a new way, or bring me to other places - not look like a screaming nuthouse with color and shapes!. I like fantasy and sci fi subjects in realism so I can truely envision another world!. For earthly scenes, I like the monet filter where the artist can use creativity to accent something or emote a mood of some sort, since I already know what the basic subject looks like!. But not be so far off I don't know what I'm looking at!.

I do not stick to any one style - if I like it I hang it!. I have seen a lot of very valuable paintings that I wouldn't own even if given to me!. So I just use personal likes as my criteria!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I like- prefer abstract because I can make my own rules and can use any style or combination of styles I want!. They are pure creativity!. Abstracts are not easy to do!.

Keep Arting!
