I have a lot of books from the 30's and 40's, and I'm nearly the only person they are worth anything to!. They aren't worth trying to sell!. Antique stores mark up the prices to make up for the fact that they simply sit there taking up shelf space for long periods of time!.!.!.so the few that are sold pay for all of them!. I've even walked into stores that had boxes of free books!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Each book must be taken on its own merit, particularly
art books!. Art books can realize fine prices!. There is an
abundance of information on the web to give you an idea!.
Each book must be researched separately!.!. the name,
author, publisher, date of your edition!.!. will be your search!.
Type in the information and the sites will appear!.The values
will depend upon subject matter, demand, rarity
and then, condition!. Once you have an idea what your
books may be worth!.!.!. if there are volumes of real value,
I would call a dealer who handles fine books!.
Good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com

It all depends on how good of shape the book is in!. You could try to take it to an antique shop and ask the person working there if they have any clue!. Most of the old books I get from antique shops are normaly $5 - $20!. Just search around the web for sites on appraising books!. :)Www@QuestionHome@Com
