Question: Imaging software!?
I'm looking for an imaging package that offers an array of color changes from sepia to old photo style and especially drawing, that gives a proper sketched look!.
also, is there a program that automatically cuts out a person or object!.
I have two programs that allow cut out but i have to do it by hand and mouse which is timely and aching!.
I really appreciate any repsonse to this!.
Have a lovely day!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

For most general users, I recommend Picasa as it's free and has a lot of basic functions including sepia!. But then you threw the loop in there about a "sketched look," so that's out the window!. The automatically cut out a person throws that suggestion for a loop, too!.

I guess it depends on your price range!.

Photoshop Elements is usually my second recommendation!. It does an okay job at finding people and you can usually find it at Costco for under $100 (far cheaper than the full-blown Photoshop at something like $800)!. It also has filters for "Colored Pencil" and the like, but I haven't used them all that much!. I just tried it and found the results interesting!.

Corel's Paint Shop Pro would probably be next on my list!. Again, very good for most uses, but I haven't used it for a couple of years!. also under $100!. It used to have filters for "artistic" looks, so I'm assuming it still does!. No idea about snatching people out!.

And then there's Photoshop!. Get out your checkbook and loan application!. I think there's a setting in it to have it make your coffee in the morning!. For most people, I think it's overkill and overpriced!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Sounds like Photoshop is the way to go!. You can opt for the expensive version (newest is in the Adobe CS3 package) or go for Photoshop Elements, which is much less expensive and does pretty much the same thing!. The filters will give you those old time-y effects, but the crop tool is easy to use!. If you want to remove things like telephone wires, or something that is still part of the picture, but you don't like, you will need to do it with a mouse or graphics tablet and pen!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Photoshop! Best program there is!.
Photoshop elements is much cheaper and will do what you want!.

As for doing it automatically!? Well nope!. Sorry!. It's time consuming!. Some tools are somewhat automatic, but that depends on your image!. If for example, you have a person standing in front of a white background, you can select the white and delete it!.
How often does that happen though!?
There are many ways to select an object!. Masking, create a clipping path, or simple eraser!. Which you use all depends on the image in question!. ALL will take time!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
