Question: Tie dye help!? for fourth of july :)!?

okay so i'm making fourth of july tie dyed shirts!. i'm leaving to go see my extended family in iowa on saturday so i'm making some red and blue tie dye shirts for the girls :)!. i dont know if i should just go ahead and make them tomorrow or waittil friday when i have all day!. (tomorrow, thursday, i'll be gone until about 7:00pm)i know they take 4-6 hours to sit then wash them but I dont know to take the chance friday!? or take the chance tomorrow!.!.!? please help!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think you should do it Thursday night because then you can leave the shirts to soak in the dye overnight (the longer the better) and then wash it on friday!. It only takes like 10 minutes to tiedye a shirt too!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'd start them as soon as possible so your dye will set before washing!. You may want to dry each color before retying!. I always liked doing that to keep from dying my hands (after I did that a few times; green for Valentine's Day, purple for prom)

Dye, set, heat dry, wash in cold saltwater, dry!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
