What flash are you using!?

Are you using an umbrella or soft box!? Are you using standard "portrait style" lighting!? Key, fill, hair, background, etc!?

You can duplicate this lighting using incandescent lights at about one fifth the cost of a studio flash system!.

Figure $500 for a 1K incandescent kit and a background stand !.!.!. or $2,500 and up for some 650 w/sec heads and power supply with stands and light modifiers!.

Look here for some actual kits and costs!.

Hi there! I worked at Picture Me! for an internship last fall!
Man, those parents can be something!.!.!. lol YOU know what I'm talking about!.

Anyways, you can find some really nice, INEXPENSIVE lighting kits on ebay!. I have bought them on there before, and they were wonderful!. As far as a flash goes, I would *HIGHLY* recommend the Canon Speedlite 580EX II!. If that is out of your price range, go with the Speedlite 430EX!. It's a really good one, too, and for half the cost!.

For studio lighting, stick with two umbrellas and one spot light for starters!. You can get a two umbrella lighting kit for under $100 on ebay!. Spots are very affortable as well!.

I hope this helps, and good luck with your in home studio!!! The experience you're gaining / have gained at Picgure Me! will be a huge help!. HUGE!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No clue!.!.!. is it an external flash!? If so, you may want to look into getting the Canon Speedlite 430EX ($239!.22 on Amazon) or 580EX II ($390 on Amazon)!. I have the 580EX II and have been extremely pleased with it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
