Question:

Ok, so you might think this question is unrealistic, but!.!.!.

So I'm soon going to a comics animation workshop at college for an activities week and, quite frankly, im scared stiff!

I chose this activity as there was NOTHING else of interest for me and the other good ones were very expensive, but you had to choose one, so i chose this!.

Long story short, I can't draw anime/manga, my drawing is generally good but im not experienced in this particular style!.!.!. Im going to look so silly amongst the other 19 people doing it who are all so good at this and do it regularly, I'm gonna be so out of place, it really isnt my crowd :-( WHAT DO I DO! i dont wanna go and then look stupid when they see my drawings!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.
how can I grasp a nice basic anime drawing style reasonably fast over a week or two/slightly longer!?

I understand i shouldnt care what others think if they do laugh at me, but lets be real, its embarassing :-(

the work will be shown to everyone as well :-O

ok so everyone gets nervous drawing on the spot, thats understandable,but be confident and couragous!.

The best way i believe to draw something completely new to you is to use common sense and study it closely!. Ive gone through years of art exams testing me by asking me to study japan etc!. And quite frankly it was scary, but i used search engines and brought up various images and sat and copied them over and over each time getting better and better than the previous, then eventually adding colour!.

Therefore you should experiment, bring up images of characters and draw them!. Have fun and be confident!.

I have a 20 page guide which you could use fairly quickly, however it would cost you ￡5!.00 because I sell it on ebay!. Its very good though, goes through many positions etc and how to draw body with propoertion!. Covers eye shapes, head shapes, hair shapes and styles!.
