Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Yes!. I hate to say it, but of course!. It is a lot more controversial than it ever used to be!. Check out Erwin Olaf's famous picture of a naked child with down syndrome in his "mind of their own" series!. Photographic freedom is a beautiful thing, it is one of the ONLY places left, and perhaps the most REAL where we can view ANYTHING and not be judged when it is taken in an artistic sense!. Peoples opinions of taste is very varied!. Myself, I know no boundaries, and I would hate to change!. Mister "profotog" above obviously does have boundaries within his photographic expression!.Www@QuestionHome@Com I`m afraid that our culture has changed so much and our suspicious nature has grown so much, that any art which shows nude children, no matter what pose or how tastefully done, is classed as distasteful and treated with suspicion!. It isn`t just the artist who is treated suspiciously when painting things like this, but also the viewer!. Anyone who stands infront of a painting of a nude child would be looked at differently and this is a shame!. It might be an innocent piece of artwork, or someone just appreciating a piece of work for its aesthetic qualities, but the next person to paint it/see it might have other motives!.Www@QuestionHome@Com It depends on how old the child is!. Nude newborn babys or very young babys I think is concidered tasteful!. A little bit older kid (9mo - 2years) a tasteful picture would be nude in a bathtub or something!.
