Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: There is a wax called Renaissance Wax from England used by the British museum it can be used on furniture,leather,paintings(oil), metals,marble and ivory!.It brings the color back up, and a very ittle bit goes a long way!. I've used it on all sorts of objects!. I'm still working on the same 7 3/4 oz!. can after 15 yrs!., and it is still about 1/2 full!. It is a great value and works wonderfully!. If you search on the net a little some one in the US should carry it!. It is typically used to preserve metal objects like bronze sculptures!. Just heat using a dry cloth rup some wax on the object and then heat the object with a torch or flame so it melts a little!. Then rub off excess!.Www@QuestionHome@Com What is it made out of!? Shoe polish or floor polish will give some protection to a hard non-biodegradable object!. If it's fired clay, you wouldn't really need it, but you can if you want!.
