Question: I'm having a indoor photoshoot today with my friend!. She wants me to take pictures of her!. But I'm not having
I'm having a indoor photo shoot today with my friend!. She wants me to take pictures of her!. But I'm not having proper studio equipment (umbrellas etc)!. I only have white backdrop, one-two lamps and one speedlight SB-600 and good Nikkor lens (AF Nikkor 50mm F/1!.8D)!. Some hints what could I do!? Using Matrix Metering or something else etc!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You seem to have all you need, but I would forget using the SB-600's if you do not have a lot of experience using them (it is tough to guess how the light will describe your model)

Use your lamps (hopefully 500 watts or better) !.!.!. umbrellas are only $25 (Lowel)!. For more light, you can get some construction lights for under $40 to add light to your "set"!.

Matrix metering is the hot ticket, so if you are used to using it, go for it!. Be sure to take the white balance off "auto" and use the incandescent setting!.

Buy some black yardage (four yards should be enough) from the $1 table at Wal-mart!. Black is also a great background !.!.!. just shoot at night so you don't get any competing light from the windows!.

Turn on the music and have fun!.
