I've no idea what this object is - it was found amongst my grandmother's possessions and we don't know anything about it (she's no longer alive)!. It's about 11 x 10cm and made of wood!. It'd be great if someone out there can help me!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's a cross section of a tree trunk on which a woodcarving has been done!.
Clearly a chalice in the middle, the rooster is also a religious symbol of watchfulness, and on the left could be a wine cruet, given the context I would say one used in the celebration of the eucharist!.
I think it is a religiously (catholic) inspired carving intended to be displayed on your wall!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

That looks like a hobby woodworking piece!. Somebody had a nice piece of wood and decided to carve a naive-style still life on a plaque!. Maybe they made it for your grandmother!. Some of her friends or neighbours might know!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Possibly Polish or Eastern European , I've seen a similar naive relief style pieces that are Polish !. Charming piece!
No signature or carved initials or dates on the back or rim!?
