Adobe Illustrator (Adobe has recently taken over Freehand)!.

To create something similar to your example, you can draw it and ink it on paper, scan it in and bring it into Illustrator!. Once you have it in Illustrator, you can use a feature called "Live Trace"; this will make it available for you to manipulate the lines and such--if you choose!.

A free alternative, if you use Windows, is InkScape!. I can't vouch for it, since I've never used it, but I hear it's quite popular!.

It may be quite difficult for u if u don't have basic graphic design studies!.!.but I normally use Macromedia Freehand now version 10 to create such illustrations!. Of course, you need to have some creative imagination skills for any illustrations:)Www@QuestionHome@Com
