I'm in year 11 and i did photography (biggest waste of time EVER our teacher bailed on us and we had substitutes for two years)!.

anyway - our new 'photography teacher' who also graded photography papers in other schools told us it was ridiculously easy to get a c!.

i did 8 pages of work for three projects and passed!.

just make sure you:

EVALUATE YOUR WORK (write about it)
AND SHOW YOUR IDEAS DEVELOPING!

i presume they gave you the sheet thats like '60 images from your original shoot' etc!.

trust me the work doesn't have to be of amazing quality!.

basically the more you do the more likely you are to get a high mark!.

good luck!

it'll be easy!. :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Isn't Cardiff where the Dr Who series is based!? Why not try and cash in on that!? With a bit of help from Photoshop you could have great fun!.The police boxes may not be the same but you could outline the next story in the series!.Doing your exam in 1 year does not prevent you from resits in the normal time!.Education is never a waste of time it is about you improving yourself!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Ninian Park, before its demolished is just one idea!. (B&W)
How about the terraced slum houses (in B&W) and the luxury waterfront apartments!. Is there a nature reserve near you, so you
can show a 'wild' side of Cardiff!. Or the Welsh Assembly!. or some of those lovely Old Red Brick Buildings!.
Good luck!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

How about Cardiff Contrasts (It's even alliterative!)

I know Cardiff a little and there are different areas!. Try to take photos of different areas with different styles of housing!. Victorian, thirties, sixties and more recent, for example!.

Or contrast city centre, with local shops!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you took good notes during lecture and have researched what other photographers you like shoot and tried emulating them, you should be just fine!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If your question is about how to pass a school exam, finding out how to take good pictures is probably not really to the point!. Talk to other kids who have gone through that exam, find out what tricks work, what impresses the graders!.
If however you want (also) to take good pictures, I'd suggest you look over what you've done so far, pick the ones which interested you the most - even if they weren't successful to your eye - and start concentrating on those themes!. Work on making the parts you are unhappy with better, try different lenses, points of view, aperture, shutter speed, focus, etc!. Go at different times of day for different light, even night!. Many of these shots will be unsuccessful experiments, but figure out why they were, and think if that approach might work in a different situation!. Some of those pictures, I hope, you will like and get encouraged to do more!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
