Question: How much does it cost to have an artist paint a portrait of you!?

when I get my apartment, I want to have an artist paint one of me on like this

but I plan on wearing a red dress and black heals!. it's not gonna be the same thing, just giving you an idea of what type of self portrait I have in mind!. and I plan on hanging it up right above that sofa, it'll be an interesting touch and a good conversation piece for visitors lol don't you thinkWww@QuestionHome@Com

Check out your local art league and community college often you can get work done at bargain prices!. Over sofa size sounds like at least 24 x36 plus frame!.!.!.!.cheap would be $750!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It depends what kind of artist you want, but first, you need the size you want and the medium!. I would say you could probably get a piece like this (if large above a sofa) anywhere from 1 to 5 thousand!. There's many things you have to figure out first though!.That's just an estimate, some artists have high prices and some do not!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Lord have mercy, straight up, this is a GREAT photo!. I would LOVE to do it lifesize!!! It reminds me of Frida Kahlo!. I would do this for about $750-$1000 because I just love to do portraits, I charge dirt cheap if I LOVE the subject and this is gorgeous!
