The best way I found to show movement is to study the anatomy of a person!. I know it sounds boring, but once you know where the muscles, joints, and bones are, its easier to visual something in motion!. Like an earlier person stated- buy one of those little manikins that art shops sell!.

Try drawing someone trying to poise walking, or jumping- that is also a good way to visualize movement!. It takes practice, and it took me a while before i got it down!.

Hope everything goes well- and keep practicing :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Despite people telling me im a great artist, i have trouble with movement as well!. My option is to take photos of people doing action poses, such as jumping, flipping, running ect in all different angles, and practice from there!. And challenge yourself by picturing what you just drew and try drawing without the reference!.

I had a mannequin (sp!?) and i still find it difficult to draw movement!.

Hope it helps! But remember its all in the practice! :3Www@QuestionHome@Com

Go to an art supply store and buy a hinged wooded manikin!.
You can twist their head, torso, arms and legs into any position!.
They are a great anatomical resource for artists who draw the figure in action!.
You can see what a moving body looks like from every angle!.
