A good place to break in is if you have a local community newspaper (like ones that comes out weekly or monthly)!. They are often understaffed and welcome outside photographers!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you are in school, start with the school newspaper and have some good images of school events to show the local papers!. You will need a decent portfolio to become a "stringer" and then you will find the pay is low, but so what!? What you need is bonafied experience and once you have established a reputation for producing quality work on demand, your assignments will become more lucrative!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Go to local newspaper companies or other places that need photos!.
Bring in a portfolio of your work and show them!.
If they like it they will hire you!.
