Question: Photography question: aperture and focus!?
Alright, totally having a mind break and can't remember for the life of me:

When you want to have the whole image in focus, do you want a large aperture (4, 6, etc) or a small aperture (16, 22, etc)!?

I want to say small for some reason, and I've tried looking through my camera lense and adjusting, but I can't for the life of me figure it out >!.<

P!.S: I'm working with an old 35mm SLR film camera, not a digital cameraWww@QuestionHome@Com

You want a small!. That has a large depth of field-whole image in focus!. This will, of course, blur the photo if it's handheld because the shutter needs to stay open longer due to the small hole for light to get in!. Hope I helped!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm dyslexic and get ALL kinds of things backwards!. So I made a phrase to help me remember!.

Small number, larger hole, smaller picture!. (As in, less in focus)
Large number, smaller hole, larger picture!. (More in focus)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, the smaller the aperture (smaller in size, larger in number) the more focus you'll get!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Smaller (f/22) is more depth of field!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
