Question: My husband thinks i should sell my drawings, i dont know if i'll get any money!?(pix included)!?
I have been drawing for years and really enjoy it but thought of it more as a hobby than a craft!. My husband had never seen any of my drawings before, and when he did he thinks there good and see how much $ i could get for them!. Would just like to see if its even worth putting them in gallery!. Be honest, im not lookin for compliments!. (They are photos of the drawings)

Join an arts community like Etsy!.com and create a website, even a myspace page would work for showing your work!. There is someone to buy everything in this world, if you can find them!. Advertise yourself!. Try doing portraits of friends, family, or even pets in the same style!. Look for a famers' market, outdoor craft show, or something similar where you can take your framed pictures and show them off!. While they are interesting and show your talent, people will be more apt to purchase or commission work that is less pop-culture based!. If you don't have a lot of people for models, try visiting a website like istockphoto!.com and search for ideas of poses and landscapes, incorporate them!. Bring your work to the next step and with a little marketing know-how, you will be sure to bring in some extra income with your drawings!. Build a strong portfolio of these images and take them to a community gallery or arts center!. Ask for a review of your work and how you can build on it, or if they are doing any displays where they may fit!. I see plenty of portfolios at the gallery I run, and all of them are exciting and interesting - but we are sometimes too booked to show them!. Try joining an artist group and becoming a member!. Many community galleries have member shows throughout the year and that is a great place to display your work, gain credibility, and show new talent to buyers and collectors!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Bluntly, I like the design more than I like the draftsmanship!. I'm not prepared to offer any sort of valuation, but I will say, you probably should take them around to local galleries, coffee shops and libraries!. Especially the latter two as the local gallery scenes I've been involved in tend to prefer more conservative subjects (as the buyers like more conservative subjects)!.

Get them framed, of course, then take them around!. Whether they sell or not I think it would be a good experience!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You've got some talent, and should definately put it to the test of seeing if anyone would like to purchase your pictures!. But I wouldn't suggest just seting up a gallery on your own with just the sketches you have!.!.!. You should try looking through art sites that host works by variou artists and have prints programs as a start, and see where things take you from there!.
By the way, I like the Jimi Hedrix one the best!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Wow, those are really good!. I luv em!. I'm not a collector or anything like that, but I would definitely buy those (If they weren't too expensive!.!.cuz they look a tad too expensive for me) Maybe you should show em to somebody!. God has blessed you with a talent!.!.put it to good use!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You have a talent!. My favorite is the Ray Charles!. Have you ever thought of exploring more of an abstract art!? Go to you're local art muesum and check out the modern art!. If you're anything like me, It'll inspire you!. keep it up!Www@QuestionHome@Com
