Question: I'm using P mode on my canon 400D/rebel xti and i need the on camera flash, how to i get it to pop up!?

Put the camera in full auto and leave the lens cap on!. Try to take a pic!. If the flash doesnt pop up then it needs repair!. If it does then your button may be faulty!.

The button is on the left hand side when your looking through the viewfinder, its just behind the lens and not on the back of the camera!. You sound like you've already found it but I just wanted to be sure!.

If you have another flash in the hotshoe, the camera will sense that and not pop-up the onboard flash!. Again I dont suspect you of doing this but I just had to explore all options!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

First, look for a small button near the flash that has a lightning bolt symbol near it!. Push that to raise the flash!.
