Question: Good tips for taking pictures of a bar/bat mitzvah at night in doors!?
I have a digital SLR (Rebel xti) and wanted to make sure that the pictures turned out well for i am selling them!. So what are some good tricks so that they aren't under/over exposed or blurred!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
increase your flash exposure by two, and use something to diffuse the flash, like put a white plastic bag/ tissue paper, etc over the flashbulb!. It wil lspead the light out more ambiently!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Mostly experience is what guarantees perfectly exposed images!. The same for shots that do not show camera movement!.

Attend a bar/bat mitzvah and see what the pros use !.!.!. you will probably see them with something like a Canon 18-55 mm and a good Canon external flash (Nikon 24-85 mm and SB600 flash if they are shooting with a Nikon)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm not trying to be disrespectful or anything like that!.!.!. but first of all, if you lack experience and knowledge then you shouldn't be selling these photos!.

The best thing to do in this situation is to set your camera to shutter speed priority with a shutter speed of 1/250 and an ISO of 400!. As said before, use an external flash and diffuser to spread the light evenly!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Use an external flash and a diffuser!.!.!. I recommend the Canon 580EX II and Gary Fong's Lightsphere!. Be sure to meter correctly, and bring model release forms since you'll be selling these photos!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
