Question: Does anyone know of websites for photographers to sell stock photography!?

I am looking for websites that allows photographers to sell stock photography!. Does anyone have any experience with this and/or recommendations!?

There are many around but before you decide which ones to use you have to decide how much experience you have, how good the photographs are and how much you want to make!.

There are two types of stock photo companies!. There are the big guys like Getty Images and Alamy!. These are the sites used by professionals and you will get a good amount of money for your shots!. You negotiate with the client as to what useage they want and price!. The stock photo companies then take a percentage!. These are typically called Macro Sock Agencies!. They are fairly stringent about what they will accept!. If you submit photos for review they need to at minimum be shot with a 6mp DSLR in RAW format!. They also need to be perfect!. Perfect composition, Exposure, white balance etc!. There also can be no visible noise, chromatic abberation, or vignetting!. If you think you can meet those standards then this is the way to go!. Check out their websites and they will give you a complete list of requirements and subjects that they are looking for!.

Then there are the micro stock agencies like Istockphoto!. In my opinion they take advantage of people!. You will typically only get paid anywhere from a few cents to a couple of dollars for your photos!. I don't know about you but if a national advertiser was using my photograph and I only got a quarter for it I would be pretty upset!. The upside to the micro stock sites is that their requirements are a lot less stringent!. Basically any idiot with a digital camera can put stuff out there!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
