Question: How to frame acrylic painting on canvas panel!?
I made an 11 x 14 painting on a hard piece of canvas panel!.
How do I frame it!?
Do I put it behind a piece of glass in a frame!?
Do I use a frame and a matte!?
Should I use stretch canvas instead (in the future) and wrap it around a handmade wooden frame!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

No need for a mat or glass!. Just frame it and hang it!. I find it easier to frame stretched canvas!. Check out http://www!.dickblick!.com They have tons of really low-cost pre-stretched canvases and rolled canvas and stretcher supplies (if you want to do it yourself)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Usually the texture of the canvas panel is a bit hard on brushes!.!.!.stretched canvas has a degree of "bounce" in the canvas and the texture can be much smoother than canvas boards!.!.!.easier on brushes and allowing for finer detail work!.
Framing canvas board is easier simply because any number of cheap frames will allow you to just slide the board in an staple it, add wire and hang!. Framing stretched canvas requires a frame with enough depth to accommodate the stretcher boards!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The only thing I have to add is that the frame you wrap the canvas round is called a 'stretcher', and any art shop will be able to help you with them, or with buying canvas already on stretchers!. The previous answer is the best!. Good luck with your work!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
