Question: How do you pick out a single colour in a photograph!?
I have a Canon 450D and photoshop CS3!. How do you take a photo and make all of it black & white except a single object like this example here:

This is how to do it in Photoshop or Elements!.

open the original photo and set it to the background layer!.
next open a new layer and call it adjustment set the colour to grey scale!.
finally select the history tool and set the transparency to about 75% and move over the area you want the colour!. a 100% transperencey makes the colour too bright and dominates the picture!.
when you have the effect thats pleasing to you faltten the picture and save!.

I don't know if you can do it with the camera, but you could do the same trick in Photoshop!. Just take a coloured high px photo!. Select the object you need single it out as colour and change the background into black and white!. :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

on photoshop!.!. put two copys of the picture up, make one of them black and white!.
copy the back and white one and paste it on top of the coloured picture!.
get the rubber tool and rub out bits that you wont coloured (:Www@QuestionHome@Com

You take a color photo and modify it in Adope Photoshop or a similar program!.!.!.you can't just take a picture in partial color straight from your camera!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

photoshop CS3 is an expensive program!. if you don't know how to use it then you probably shouldn't have itWww@QuestionHome@Com
