Yeah - I still use film!. I'm not impressed by digital black and white at all!. I could see digital being a bonus for a pro who shoots weddings and the like, but I still greatly perfer film!.

I like the rich tonality in film, how textures seem to pop in film to the point where it's like you can even feel the texture!. For what I'm doing, film works well!.

I even still use Type 669 and Fuji's pack film replacement for type 669!. I'm rather intrigued with emulsion lifts, which is simply something that can't be done with digital!.

In the end, just do what you enjoy!. In the end, this is YOUR hobby!. Anyone who tells you that you need to get over it and not do what you enjoy is wrong!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

NO !! As a professional, with many years of experience under my belt, I can tell you honestly that I wish there'd been digital cameras way back when I started in the business!. There are so, so many "incredible" images I could have captured with the use of digital, and especially not having to worry about running out of film or the cost of developing, or arguing with the printing companies about just how I wanted a shot printed, etc, etc, etc!.!. The use of film is far, far too limited and I don't like to be "limited" in my work!. I like the "freedom" of digital and digital equipment!.
Whether people want to admit it or not, film is DEAD, so they might as well accept it!.
If you want to be a professional and stay a professional, learn all you can about "DIGITAL PHOTOGRPAHY' and quit wasting your time with film!. It is the sign of the times, and it IS progress!. Accept it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Oh me too!. I love the total manual!. Being able to set the depth of field through aperature is my favorite!. I love working in the darkroom too!. Something about creating a photo from rolling my own film to the end result hanging on my wall is so much fun!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
