Position:Home>Visual Arts> What do you think of my mini portfolio?Question: What do you think of my mini portfolio!? ill admit alot of them arent very good!. a couple were take off of a camera phone cause at the time i wasnt expecting to need a portfolio but now i kind of do!. so professional advice!? or just tell me what you think!. all critisizem is accepted!.

If the image turns out to be a noisy mediocre snapshot then you can always re-do it!. Shooting weddings, even as a second shooter, you are not ready for yet!. Building a portfolio is good exercise in looking critically at your work!. A portfolio should not be just any random images, whether good or not!. Edit your images to show only your best!. Eliminate the cel phone shots altogether!. A few of the car shots were all right, some were not portfolio material, even for a beginner!. I didn't care for the slide show at all!. You can post your work on Flickr and have pictures that are viewable without all the hassle!. Start learning about the technical and artistic sides of the craft!. Take a class and look at your library or bookstore for books on beginning photography!. If you like photographing cars, pick up several automobile brochures from a local dealership and have a good look at them!. also there are lots of hot rod and car magazines!. Study the pictures in them to see how the pros set up their shots and how the light is falling!. Try to duplicate some of your favorites!. Keep learning and practicing and your images will improve!. As your skill grows you will have more images to build a much better portfolio than your present one!. If you are really hoping for photography work of any kind, I would not show what you have in your portfolio now!. Wait until you have some good work to show and impress!. There is no point on critiquing work that you know isn't up to standard!. rework your presentation of your work with the ones you feel confident in! also the slide show was a distraction!. I would like to see the photos individually, where i can choose how much time i want to spend viewing each photograph!.Www@QuestionHome@Com It's good but the lighting could have been much better!. For example the pic you took of a lake or whatever it was could have been better!. the pic of the bird could have been much sharper and clearer!.
