How can I make a picture black & white.....?

Question: How can I make a picture black & white!.!.!.!.!.!?

and later add color to certain parts of the picture!. Please explain it in simple language, 'cause I really need to know, and I don't get it!.!.!. everybody else talks french! lol so thanks to whomever can help me!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

open with photoshop,
-go to right-most bottom corner of the screen,
-look for a shape like a circle devided into two with two tones,
-then choose Hue/Saturation,
-drag saturation bar all the way down!.!.

to add colored parts,
-simply use lasso,
-highlight and copy the parts you wanted to be colored,
-right click and use feather to get fade effects,
-then copy and drag the new layer above the Hue/Saturation layer!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

in photoshop, open color image,
in layer toolbox, duplicate layer,
then from menu, desaturate color from second layer,
then erase parts you want color to show through from lower layer,
save as psd, then save copy as jpg or png for web,

if you want to add new color to object,
create new layer,
select area with lasso tool,
paint with choice of color,
adjust layer toolbox mode to overlay,
adjust amount transparency,
