Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
all the techniques involved in making the sculpture
you may learn something about your way of thinking (at least if you are lucky somebody will tell you what they see in your work)
you may learn thinking creatively - particularly if you have a class with a lot of good students you can learn a lot if you watch their approaches!.
you get more confidencen in what you can do (OK, maybe only if it works out)!.
you learn whether you think it's a fun thing to do
you may have made the sculpture to express an idea, thought or feeling you had!. You should be able to tell from the reaction of other people whether you managed to communicate that idea!.
You learn what works visually and what doesn;t!.
You learn which approaches are successful and which weren't!.
If you had to do research about some subject for your sculpture you learned all that!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

personally you get to use the brain in a different way, which is very stimulating!. It's about finding your own creativity not about learning in a factual wayWww@QuestionHome@Com
