Question: Photo album help!? not a computer album, a real one!.!?
I recently started to get some of my photographs together to put in photo albums!.Some are polaroid photos and others are just pictures taken from a regular film camera!.The albums I bought are the kind that you peel away the plastic film, stick the pictures in the album and then roll the plastic back over the photo!.My problem is for some reason or another, the pictures are not 'sticking' to the albums!.Does anyone know of a safe glue I can use to make them stick without causing any damage to the photos!? Some of the pictures are 20 years or older and I just want to keep them nice in the albums!.!.Thanks :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

You can get photo mount tabs at most photo stores!. They come on a strip backing that you peel off them!.

The question I can't answer if whether they'll stick to the backing of the album pages you have!. I haven't seen that type of album around for a while!. I stopped using them because I found I had the opposite problem to yours: the plastic film stuck to the photos too well, and after a couple of years I was worried about the emulsion coming off the prints!.

Sorry about the investment you have in the albums, but I would actually recommend using a different type of album!. One with acid -free mounting sheets and a non-stick sheet of tissue between the pages!.

Good luck, sorry my answer may have raised more questions than it solved!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I would advise against using the sticky-back or "magnetic" pages, period!. Eventually your photos *will* stick, to the point of never being able to remove them without major damage!. A regular Polaroid print will usually fit in a 4x6" sleeve, so you could use the photo albums that have the pages of clear pockets!. They are usually PVC free and archival, and you could remove a photo easily without causing damage!.

If you do decide to put them in the magnetic albums, there are glue sticks that are "safe" and archival for photos!. You can find them at craft stores like Michael's and the craft department at WalMart!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I use photo corners and plain scrapbook-type albums for old/odd size photos!. You can get acid-free adhesive or glue for extra hold, but I would stay away from "magnetic page" albums like you describe!. They only get worse with time!. On a side note, I have some pictures that date back to the 1930's and I scanned all of them so that as the paper deteriorates and the ink fades, i will still be able to get prints!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think they sell a special photo glue!. you should ask the people that work in the photo department at your local store!.(IE: wal-mart)Www@QuestionHome@Com
