Question: Where might i find information on an old tapestry!? I have the tapestry I need to find the wool that have been!?

used over half!. I would like a picture and wools used DMC/Coats/semco etc!.
The tapestry is Le Heron sixteen (roman numbers siecle) I found it in a second-hand shop and would like to complete it!. No wool was enclosed!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I doubt that you would be able to find the same wool as originally used, and even if you did find some, it's likely to have a different hue (different lots of the same hue differ, and depending on how its stored, it might look different)!.

Best to go to a well-stocked handycrafts store and look for the closest matches!. You might also have to take some of the already made parts out, so that you can e!.g!. have a flower all of the same colour!.

Don't know where one would find the picture!. I would just design the rest, using the existing bits of the picture!. One tip is just to reproduce some bits, using mirror images of what's already there!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You could try contacting a company that restores old fabrics, they might have some answers or at least possibly point you to someone who would know more about old fabrics!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
