Rates for assisting generally range from 175!.00 a day to 300!.00 a day!. There are a handful of very good assistants who are on the low side!.

Commercial work for a good assistant can be paid out at half and full day rates!. That can be based on a per hour rate or a percent of the profit
for that day!. For example, not all commercial jobs can be high profit for many reasons!. A decent rate for an assistant can then be worked out between you and the person!.

An assistant can make your day and be worth every dollar, or can be a beginner and be worth $8 per hour!. The assistant can know
as much or more than you about certain aspects of the task!. They can be your eyes and ears in posing and looking for details that make the job go smoother!.

Part of what the pay is depends upon the kind of the assignment!. If you get to be a good assistant and are willing to learn and work very hard at it then you can get into more advertising work that pays the photographer much more than the average PR or wedding!. A photographer who knows he is getting $5,000 to $8,000 per day for an assignment can afford to spend a little more on good assistants!.

I have a paid internship as a wedding photographer's assistant getting $10 an hour!. Most internships are not paid!. Sometimes you can find one day jobs in the classifieds that pay around $200 for the whole day!. A lot of the time, they will only hire students who are studying photo in college though, so you'll have a lot of competition!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Anywhere from nothing to little or nothing!. Look into an unpaid internship!. A photographer does not want to pay to teach you only to have you leave in two months!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
